Tara and her mother attended the 2010 Miss New York Pageant, where MiBoLifer Claire Buffie was crowned “Miss New York”. This victory would send Claire to the annual “Miss America” Pageant to represent as “Miss New York”.  In the process of taking the overall New York title, Claire would also win the swimsuit and evening gown rounds.

While watching this pageant unfold, Tara turned to her mother and said “wow, Claire’s body is amazing! We have to find out who her trainer is!” Enter MiBoLife.

Tara had her share of victories on the pageant stage as well.   Her titles include Miss Miami 2007, Miss Fort Lauderdale 2009, and Miss Central Florida 2010.  But two things continued to trouble Tara over the years. 1) Never clinching a state title (which would send her to Miss America).  2) Never doing very well in the swimsuit round.

When I met Tara, I immediately liked her. She seemed very nice and genuine, had a great smile and really seemed like a sweetheart. I could see why she had done well in pageants.  As we chatted about her past pageant preparations, Tara described very intensive, low calorie dieting as well as cardio routines that would reach a duration of 3 hours per day.  She also explained that her weight training had been minimal.

So, after taking a look at her diet, exercise routine, current physique, and reviewing photos from her past pageant showings I realized where our focus would be and we got to work.  Tara’s physique had a soft, sort of “puffy” look to it. So I wanted to develop a tighter more toned look. We would achieve this through strategic, targeted, and intense weight training as well as manipulating her diet by increasing her protein and keeping her carbs and dietary fats in check. We would also cut back on the 3 hour cardio sessions she was accustomed to and use cardio more strategically by inserting it only as needed.

The path:

December 2010 - MiBoLife Program Begins.
March 2011 - Miss New York Preliminary (Winner goes onto Miss New York Pageant)
June 2011 - Miss New York (Winner goes onto Miss America Pageant)
